ORITAEN CHIRAN-CHA, variety of premium Japanese teas, grown without pesticides
From Oritaen
Japanese green tea is an essential part of life and culture in Japan that brings great pride to the people. It is well known that the first time Japanese green tea was consumed dates back to the twelfth century, when Buddhist Eisai was the first person to bring green tea from Sou, China to Japan. In the Sixteenth Century Sennorikyu structured the "Cha No Yu," or Tea Culture.

"Cha No Yu" is based around the concept of how tea is properly consumed and its overall effect on cuisine, architecture (tea rooms) and the total experience. Tea is considered to be the standard of Japanese culture.
Chiran (in Kagoshima prefecture) is a historically popular region for the harvesting of tea, along with Kyoto and Shizuoka prefectures. There is a specific tea known as Chiran tea, and no other tea may be called by this name. Chiran is located in the southern region of Japan where the climate is considered ideal for the harvesting of tea. Due to the abundance of sunlight and proper climate the tea is a rich dark green color and has a strong, unique flavor.
Chiran tea from ORITAEN is harvested without synthetic pesticides or other harmful elements, which produces a clean, natural product. This organic process and the pride taken in its harvesting has led to an impeccable reputation and product.
ORITAEN's CHIRAN-CHA is also well known for leaving no bitter after taste that many other green teas are typically known for. Japanese green tea is great just for the enjoyment of drinking it, but it is also high in vitamins and catechins for overall good health as well!
